AIFS Conference

AIFS Conference logo

Due to the continuing impacts of the Coronavirus pandemic, we will not be presenting a planned AIFS Conference in Melbourne in June 2021.

Instead of a large conference in 2021, we will be presenting a series of smaller events throughout the year that will highlight the many fantastic speakers originally scheduled in our 2020 conference program. These events will be in the form of themed online webinars, half day virtual sessions, socially distanced face to face roundtables and workshops and an e-poster showcase of the 2020 presentations that had been scheduled. Watch this space for further details on these exciting new events in 2021.

While it is disappointing that we will not be presenting a conference in 2021, we believe the series of smaller events will better meet the needs of our community in a COVID-safe manner and will be highly relevant, impactful and engaging.

AIFS 2022 Conference

We are very excited to announce that a new AIFS Conference at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre will be held in June 2022 (dates TBC). This Conference will be a re-themed event and is expected to be on the same large scale as the deferred 2020 Conference.

The effects of the pandemic and other crises are far reaching and long term. For our 2022 Conference, we will reflect on the social and economic impacts these crises have had on families. What have we learnt about the challenges and the opportunities to support families with better policy and service systems in a rapidly changing world?
