Report - Strengthening prevention and early intervention services for families into the future

29 March 2017

This report investigates the potential of the family and relationship sector to take a greater prevention and early intervention approach.

This report has been prepared by Deakin University and Family & Relationship Services Australia (FRSA).

It aims to initiate a discussion as to how a coordinated strategy to increase family-based prevention and early intervention services could be utilised in Australia to prevent priority health and social problems.

Substance abuse, antisocial behaviour and developmental injury were among the eight priority health and social problems identified as potentially preventable through the delivery of family and relationship services.
