News - The Justice Project: Law Council of Australia

The Law Council of Australia invites submissions on the thirteen consultation papers released as part of The Justice Project.

The Law Council of Australia is currently reviewing the state of access to justice in Australia through The Justice Project. The project aims to identify barriers to the justice system faced by those experiencing social and economic disadvantage, as well as to identify what is working well to reduce those barriers.

A literature review, consultation paper, plus thirteen issues papers have been released covering a range of issues, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, children and young people, people with disability, and people living in rural, regional and remote Australia, among others.

Formal submissions, plus stories of personal experiences by individuals are currently being sought.

Submissions are due by 30 September 2017.
