29 November 2017

This report from the Parenting Research Centre presents findings of survey of 2600 parents about their concerns, needs and behaviours.

This report has been published by the Parenting Research Centre.

Results from the survey provide comprehensive information about Victorian parents, including their parenting practices and their relationships with their children. It explores parents’ engagement in their children’s education and learning, and where and how they access parenting information. It also tells us how much support parents feel they have, and how they are coping.

Among its key findings, the report highlights that:

  • 91% of parents said they had confidence in themselves as parents
  • 79% reported good mental health
  • 41% wished they did not become impatient with their child so quickly.
