This report presents findings from a survey of over 28,000 young people on issues that concern them.

Just over two thirds of respondants feel happy and positive with their lives as a whole, as well as their future. Many young people also reported confidence in achieving their study and work goals, reported close relationships with their family and showed strong engagement with their communities. Of issues that concern young people, mental health was identified as the top issue facing Australia today, followed by alcohol and drugs and equity and discrimination. The top three areas of personal concern identified were coping with stress, school or study problems and mental health.
