This report examines the cost of living in Western Australia for different vulnerable households.

This report has been published by the Western Australian Council of Social Service (WACOSS).

The report models the income and expenditure of households in Western Australia during the 2017/18 financial year. It also provides insights from financial counsellors on the key challenges faced by households who are experiencing financial hardship and stress.

Among its key findings, the report highlights that housing was the most significant cost for all households who received financial counselling in 2017/18, comprising 45.5% of their general expenditure.
