Quantifying the legal and broader life impacts of domestic and family violence

This report uses population data to analyse the the legal and related problems that often coincide with domestic and family violence.

This report has been published by the Law and Justice Foundation of New South Wales.

Based on an analysis of the Legal Australia-Wide (LAW) Survey, the report highlights the serious nature of domestic and family violence (DFV) victimisation and revealed a range of severe legal problems and adverse life impacts often associated with DFV.

Among its key findings, the report highlights the importance of initiatives that provide wrap-around assistance for DFV and those that link victims to legal and human services outside the court system.
