Place-based evaluation framework: A guide for evaluation of place-based approaches in Australia

These resources provide guidance and tools on evaluating place-based programs and services.

These resources have been released by the Department of Social Services (DSS).

The framework and accompanying toolkit aim to support communities, agencies and evaluators interested in evaluating the processes, implementation and impacts of place-based programs and services.

The framework covers a range of aspects relating to the evaluation process, such as:

  • multi-site programs
  • evaluation scoping
  • collective impact
  • cultural capability
  • theory of change
  • resourcing
  • reporting

The toolkit provides a list of evaluation tools and resources that aim assist in the design and implementation of the evaluation process.
