Fourth Action Plan - National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children 2010–2022

This plan sets out how Australia will address violence against women and children over the next three years.

This report has been published by the Australian Department of Social Services (DSS).

This is the fourth and final action plan of the National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children 2010-2022. It reflects on what has been achieved so far and sets out an agenda for 2019-2022 featuring eight principles and twenty practical actions across five priority areas.

These priority areas are:

  • Primary prevention is key
  • Support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and their children
  • Respect, listen and respond to the diverse lived experience and knowledge of women and their children affected by violence
  • Respond to sexual violence and sexual harassment
  • Improve support and service system responses.
