Supporting children and families of refugee backgrounds in the early years: Workshop

This workshop will be hosted by Foundation House.

This workshop is aimed at people working with children and families of refugee backgrounds within an early childhood program or service.

It will discuss:

  • The impact of refugee and asylum seeking experiences for young children and their families
  • The impact of trauma on young children’s development and wellbeing
  • The role of early childhood program and service providers in supporting recovery from trauma; and
  • Practical examples and strategies to use.
