Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability - Interim report

A Royal Commission is underway to investigate violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation of people with disability in Australia.

This report has been published by the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability.

The interim report sets out what has been achieved up until 31 July 2020. Specifically, it summarises findings from hearings on: 

  • inclusive education in Queensland
  • the experience of living in a group home for people with disability
  • health care and services for people with cognitive disability
  • the nature and extent of violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation
  • First Nations people with disability
