Re-engaging volunteers and COVID-19
This report finds that volunteering has not fully recovered after COVID-19, impacting on service provision.

This report looks at the state of volunteering in the community service sector, now that the COVID-19 pandemic is easing.
Volunteer managers, co-ordinators and workers were surveyed in late 2020-early 2021. The survey found:
- 72% reported that their volunteer programs were either only partially operational or not operational
- 42% were not confident that their organisation will achieve pre-COVID levels of volunteering activity in the next six months
- 43% reported experiencing an increase in demand for services.
