Australia's first National Children's Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy launched

This strategy will guide national action and investment on children and families' mental health and wellbeing.

This strategy has been produced for the Australian Government by the National Mental Health Commission.

It sets out the key focus areas, objectives and actions needed to develop an optimal child mental health and wellbeing system.

Objectives include:

  • Supported families
  • Increased mental health literacy
  • Community-driven approaches
  • Collaborative care
  • Access and equity
  • Skilled workforce
  • A wellbeing culture in education settings.
