Online safety: Health, education and law enforcement workers

Online safety: Health, education and law enforcement workers

14 October 2021

This report highlights how health, education and police enforcement workers need more support to help with their clients' and students' online safety.

This report has been published by the Australian Government eSafety Commissioner.

It looks at online safety knowledge among professionals working in health and welfare, early childhood and school settings, and law enforcement.

Although these professionals are well placed to hear about their students', patients' and clients' online safety issues, they faced barriers in responding. These include:

  • limited knowledge of online safety issues and how to address them
  • no clear pathways for referral or support systems
  • online safety not seen as part of their responsibilities.

Access the report via the eSafety website.
