About the AIFS Conference

The AIFS Conference is the Australian child and family sector's showcase event. Occurring every two years, it is a unique opportunity for policy makers, practitioners and researchers to gather to exchange ideas and network.

The theme of the 16th biennial AIFS Conference, held in June 2022, was 'Putting families at the centre'. The Conference attracted 752 attendees from around Australia and the region to the Melbourne Conference and Exhibition Centre. Over a three-day program, it featured 201 oral presentations, 50 poster presentations and 9 sponsor-exhibitor stalls.

The 2024 AIFS Conference

The 17th biennial AIFS Conference will again be held at the Melbourne Conference and Exhibition Centre. Preparations for it are already underway. It will run from 11 to 14 June 2024.
