Dr Amy Brown works on the Longitudinal Study of Australian Children as Survey Methodology Manager. Amy is a postdoctoral research fellow at Latrobe University where she works on a randomised controlled trial of a parenting program to prevent anxiety in inhibited preschool children. Amy is also completing a Master of Clinical Psychology.
Prior to joining AIFS, Amy completed her PhD at Murdoch Childrens Research Institute and the University of Melbourne. Her thesis investigated the cognitive and behavioural functioning of children diagnosed with inherited metabolic disorders and the mental health of their parents. Amy has worked on various other research projects including a randomised controlled trial of the impact of pump therapy on the mental health of children with type I diabetes, and also the standardisation of a digital social skills assessment tool.
