Bernadette joined AIFS as a Senior Research Officer in 2017. She works in the the Growing Up In Australia: Longitudinal Study of Australian Children (LSAC) project design team, assisting with the development of instruments for LSAC.

Prior to joining AIFS, Bernadette worked at the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare as a data analyst and researcher primarily in the field of Indigenous and child health. She has worked on projects assessing progress against COAG’s Closing the Gap targets, and health services delivered to Indigenous children under the Stronger Futures in the Northern Territory program. She has also assisted with investigations into statistical reporting methodologies for the Indigenous population.
