Working with the Child Family Community Australia (CFCA) information exchange and Emerging Minds teams, Dr Claire Farrugia helps to produce evidence syntheses, webinars, practice papers and other knowledge translation resources for a broad range of practitioners and policy makers.
Claire is a skilled qualitative social researcher with experience in ethnographic participatory methods and codesign. She has worked in academic, community sector and government positions and has built strong skills in relationship building and stakeholder engagement. Claire’s expertise lies in generating greater impact by ensuring diverse voices are represented in knowledge translation processes.
Claire completed a doctoral thesis in 2017 focused on the gaps and tensions between informal/formal health promotion activities for newly arrived migrant and refugee communities.
