Dr Claire Farrugia is a sociologist with expertise in community engagement and qualitative social research. Claire has experience in research design, data collection and analysis and at AIFS, she specialises in the translation of research findings to create evidence-informed practice. In her current role, Claire works across Emerging Minds and Child Family Community Australia (CFCA).

Prior to joining AIFS, Claire worked in research and knowledge translation roles at Macquarie and La Trobe Universities, The NSW Health Education Centre Against Violence and Gender Equity Victoria. She has taught and published on gender and sexuality and migration and multiculturalism and has a particular interest in culturally safe and participatory forms of service delivery and health promotion.
