Australian Institute of Family Studies

The University of New South Wales (UNSW), in partnership with the Australian Institute of Family Studies (AIFS), is conducting an evaluation of the preschool Disability and Inclusion Program on behalf of the NSW Department of Education.

The Disability and Inclusion Program provides funding and support to enable children with disability and additional needs in community preschools to participate in a quality early childhood education program on the same basis as their peers. This includes funding support for children with high learning needs, as well as a sector capacity-building program.

As part of this evaluation, AIFS is conducting an online survey with preschools regarding their use of the program. Other data collections, including interviews with services, families and key stakeholders will be conducted by UNSW.
