Overview

This report provides a preliminary, mainly tabular view of data collected from a series of mail questionnaires. Three main samples are included: 1) pre-scheme custodial and non-custodial parents (to provide a baseline and allow for examination of Stage I's longitudinal impact), 2) a pre-Scheme control sample of unaffected parents, 3) a sample of early entrants (both custodial and non-custodial) to the Child Support Scheme.

This report is based on data from the Australian Institute of Family Studies' Economic Consequences of Marriage Breakdown (ECMB) Study and the Parents and Children After Marriage Breakdown (PCMB) Study. The ECMB and PCMB studies are part of the Institute's Australian Family Reformation Project."
