Overview

As part of the National Youth Suicide Prevention Strategy, the Australian Institute of Family Studies was contracted by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aged Care to address the information needs of those involved in youth suicide prevention. This publication is the result of the second stocktake of youth suicide prevention activities undertaken by the Institute. It identifies agencies involved in service delivery, training, research, policy and broader youth suicide prevention activities. The aim of the stocktake was to create a database of policy, program and other activities being carried out across Australia in response to the issue of youth suicide, and which could be made available to all those concerned with youth suicide and its prevention. This publication is one component of the dissemination process. Entries are arranged by State, and then within each State, by type of organisation.
