Overview

The City of Werribee, an outer suburban area of Melbourne, was included in a study of Australian living standards undertaken by the Australian Institute of Family Studies. This document reports on the use made by Werribee families of child care. It covers work related child care for preschool and primary school children, informal and formal care, hours of care used, travelling to and from child care, costs of child care, fee relief, care of the sick children of working parents, the preschool/child care overlap, care before and after school, and the care of primary school children during school holidays.
