A.1 Salary scales

The following annual salary rates will apply to Institute employees employed in the classifications listed in the first column below.

A.2 Calculation of fortnightly pay

The fortnightly pay shall be based upon the following formula:

Fortnightly pay = Annual salary x 12/313

A.3 Overtime rates

The hourly rate for overtime will be calculated using the following formulae:

Time and a half Rate:

Annual salary/313 x 6/37.5 x 3/2

Double time rate:

Annual salary/313 x 6/37.5 x 2/1

Double time and a half rate:

Annual salary/313 x 6/37.5 x 5/2

Monday to Saturday:

Overtime worked Monday to Saturday will be paid at time and a half for the first three hours each day and double time thereafter.

Sunday:

Overtime worked on Sunday will be paid at the rate of double time.

Public holiday:

Overtime worked on a public holiday as provided for in this Agreement will be paid at the rate of double time and a half. For duty within regular hours, payment will be at time and a half additional to the single time being paid for the public holiday.

Part-time employees:

Overtime for part-time employees will be paid at single rate for hours worked between the employee’s regular hours and the standard 7 hour 30 minute day, and thereafter at the rate applicable to employees working full-time.
