Brian Vandenberg

Australian Gambling Research Centre
Dr Brian Vandenberg is a health economist and is a Research Fellow in the Australian Gambling Research Centre. He is also an Adjunct Lecturer in the School of Public Health and Preventative Medicine at Monash University, a Member of the Monash Addiction Research Centre, and an Associate Editor of Addiction journal. His research interests include the social and economic determinants of gambling and alcohol and drug related harm, using quantitative and qualitative methods.
In addition to his background in research within universities, he is an experienced policy advisor and program manager in the alcohol and drugs field and other areas of public health within state and federal government departments and agencies, and within non-government organisations. He also contributes to university teaching in these fields and co-supervision of PhD candidates.
