Eliza Cotton

Child & Family Evidence

Eliza Cotton is a Research Officer in the Child and Family Evidence team. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Sociology), a Bachelor of Visual Arts and a Master of Public Policy, all awarded by Monash University. Her first-class master’s thesis investigated patterns of voluntary resignation by Australian Federal parliamentarians, focusing on the gendered implications of caregiving on career longevity.

Prior to joining AIFS, Eliza worked with Baptist World Aid as a researcher and data analyst on their ‘Ethical Fashion Report’. She also has experience in evaluation consultancy for international development projects and research for criminal justice advocacy.
