Julie Bonin

In 2012, Julie Bonin completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in Human in Nutrition from the University of Ottawa, and subsequently practised as a clinical dietitian accredited with the College of Dietitians of Ontario. Her clinical experience led her to developing a deeper interest in the social determinants of health, and the impact of health policies and programs on community health.  In 2018, she completed a Master of Public Health (majoring in health policy and program evaluation) at the University of Melbourne, and then began her full-time career in population health research. Prior to her current role with the Australian Gambling Research Centre, she worked in a variety of clinical registries embedded within Monash University’s Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences.

Julie is experienced in multi-site collaborative research pertaining to the collection, management, and analysis of large-scale and longitudinal health-related data. Her ever-expanding research interests include health promotion, health policy, evaluation, and more recently, the translation and visualization of complex datasets.
