Ten to Men: The Australian Longitudinal Study on Male Health
Dr Katrina Scurrah is a biostatistician with more than 20 years of experience in the development and application of statistical models for complex data, especially data obtained from twins, siblings, families and linked administrative databases. Her work aims to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals and families through evidence-based research. She has a particular interest in mental health, and has also led, advised, and collaborated on studies of male health, cardiovascular outcomes, dental epidemiology, physiological responses to exercise and the effects of medical radiation in early life on the risk of cancer.
She also has a strong interest in capacity building in medical research, developed during her previous roles at the University of Melbourne and Twins Research Australia, through statistical consulting, collaborating, research facilitation, educating, and mentoring, including successful supervision of PhD students.
