Nancy Greer joined AIFS in October 2020 as a Senior Research Officer with the Australian Gambling Research Centre (AGRC).  Nancy has Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) from the University of Queensland. In 2023, Nancy received a PhD from CQUniversity in the field of gambling and addictive behaviours.

Nancy has over 17 years’ experience as a researcher in the fields of gambling, homelessness, drug and alcohol use, health and well-being, and family violence. Nancy has contributed to projects on converging video gaming and gambling products (loot boxes, esports betting, social casino games), gambling prevalence, gambling-related harm, the social cost of gambling, gambling and domestic violence against women, interactive gambling, and the effects of wagering marketing on vulnerable adults. Nancy is proficient in literature reviews, project management, survey design, research methodology design, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and report writing.
