ACT for Kids
ACT for Kids (formerly the Abused Child Trust) is an Australian charity that works to treat and prevent child abuse.

Blue Knot Foundation
Blue Knot Foundation is a national organisation that works to improve the lives of adult survivors of childhood trauma and abuse throughout Australia. Programs and therapeutic support are offered that can significantly reduce the legacy of childhood trauma.

Association of Children's Welfare Agencies Inc (ACWA) (NSW/ACT)
The Association is a peak (umbrella) organisation for non government welfare service providers to children and young people and their families. The Association undertakes projects on child and adolescent welfare; publishes a newsletter and occasional Issues Papers; and advocates for better quality of care available to 'at risk' dependent children and young persons who need substitute care in the state of New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.

Australian and New Zealand Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ANZATSA)
The Australian and New Zealand Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers is dedicated to community protection and safety, through the promotion of professional standards, practices and education in sex offender management, treatment, assessment and research.

Australian Childhood Foundation
The Australian Childhood Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that works tirelessly to support children and families devastated by abuse, family violence and neglect. The organisation offers counseling, therapeutic care, research activities, parenting education, professional development, child abuse prevention programs and advocacy.

Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare (CFECFW)
The Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare provides representation, professional development, research, policy and program advice, publications and resources for 96 community service organisations in the child, youth and family services sector of Victoria. The Centre represents small, medium and large community service organisations spread across the State in metropolitan and country areas.

Child Abuse Prevention Service (CAPS)
Established in 1973, the Child Abuse Prevention Service (CAPS) is the oldest child abuse prevention organisation in Australia. We are a non-government, non-religious charity that works to prevent child maltreatment in all its forms, including emotional, physical and sexual abuse.
Our staff are experienced psychologists and child protection policy experts who are well-equipped to deliver frontline educational programs and create the environments needed to ensure that children are safe, supported, and loved.

Human Trafficking Working Group
The website forms part of a collaborative research project by The University of Queensland's TC Beirne School of Law and The University of British Columbia Faculty of Law and Centre of International Relations on the phenomenon of trafficking persons, exploitation of foreign workers in the sex industry and other forms of forced labour in Australia and Canada. The website provides an entry point for information on trafficking in persons to Australia and includes background documents, case reports, relevant legislation, as well as publications and presentations by the Working Group. Relevant statistics relating to trafficking prosecutions and victims of trafficking are also available.

Keep them safe: A shared approach to child wellbeing (NSW)
This website provides information on key changes in child protection in New South Wales, and provides useful links to more specialised information.

Living Well
LivingWell is an Australian resource which offers a range of services specifically designed to assist men who have experienced childhood sexual abuse or sexual assault, their partners, friends and family and service providers.

 

National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (NAPCAN)
NAPCAN works for the prevention of all forms of child abuse and neglect and towards greater community awareness of child abuse and neglect as a major issue facing our nation. Services include: provision of community education material which has universal application utilised by government departments, agencies, community groups, schools, hospitals and police; biannual national conference with a prevention focus; and initiation and national coordination of National Child Protection Week (held annually). There are separate offices in each state.

Oz Child: Children Australia
Oz Child is a Victorian, non government organisation committed to improving the quality of care, life opportunities and status of children throughout Australia by: taking or initiating action to protect or enhance the rights of children; providing or enabling direct services through a variety of disciplines for the benefit of children and their families; and influencing decisions or actions of individuals, organisations and governments where relevant to children and their families.
