Families in Australia Survey montage

The Families in Australia Survey is our flagship survey series. Its scope is every person in every type of family, with the survey open to Australians aged 18 years and over.

The most recent survey in the series ran from 18 May to 30 June 2021. A series of research findings from the results of the survey will be published in the second half of 2021.

Previous surveys

The first Families in Australia Survey (Life during COVID-19) ran from 1 May to 9 June 2020, with 7,306 participants. Six reports from the survey were published, from June to November 2020.

The second Families in Australia Survey (Towards COVID Normal) ran from 17 November to 22 December 2020, with 4,866 participants. Reports from this survey are currently being published.
