This article explores veteran mental health and help seeking from the point of view of their family members. It links surveys of 1,217 veterans and their family members, from the Family Wellbeing Study and Mental Health Wellbeing Transition Study. The findings highlight how barriers in military culture are more likely to impede help-seeking, rather than such factors as cost or access.
