Prepared for the Committee on Domestic Violence and the NT Department of Community Development, this report contains background information about the phone-in sample; discusses the experience of domestic violence as revealed by the phone-in, focusing particularly on precipitating factors; identifies patterns of help seeking and reports on people's reported experiences of particular agencies; and considers policy implications of the phone-in findings.
