Gender differences in the presentation of observable risk indicators of problem gambling

List of warning signs have been developed to help venue staff identify people at risk of gambling problems. This article checks whether these warning signs are the same for both between men and women, drawing on a study of 1,185 gamblers. Overall, the signs of problem gambling appear similar for both men and women, though men are more likely to display anger and women more likely to display visible signs of distress.
