Effective practices for service delivery coordination in Indigenous communities

You are in an archived section of the AIFS website

Overview

This resource sheet explores what is known about service delivery coordination activities in regional, rural and remote areas of Australia. It examines the principles that underpin service delivery coordination efforts to improve the wellbeing of Indigenous Australians.

Drawing on research, documented practice, and practitioner knowledge, the resource sheet outlines the importance of service delivery coordination, what coordinated service delivery looks like, factors and characteristics of effective service delivery coordination, and possible barriers.

This report was produced by AIFS staff for the Closing the Gap Clearinghouse. The Clearinghouse was a Council of Australian Governments’ initiative jointly funded by all Australian Governments. The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare in collaboration with the Australian Institute of Family Studies was funded from 2009 to 2014 to deliver the Clearinghouse.
