Reporting of fatal neglect in NSW
This literature review was commissioned by the NSW Ombudsman, to inform the definition and reporting of fatal child neglect. The reporting of fatal child neglect has the aim of preventing further deaths. Providing context for neglect-related deaths will allow for improved understanding of the impact of fatal neglect across all child deaths and, therefore, greater potential to implement preventive programs, policies and procedures.
