Statement of Expectations

On 20 March 2024, the then Minister for Social Services released their Statement of Expectations for the Australian Institute of Family Studies (AIFS). A Statement of Expectations is a formal document issued to a statutory agency to clarify the Government’s priorities, policies and strategic objectives relevant to that agency’s functions. It serves as a governance tool, setting out performance expectations and aligning the agency’s operations with broader government objectives while respecting its statutory independence.
