Risk and Audit Committee

Role

The Accountable Authority of the Australian Institute of Family Studies, the Director, has established a Risk and Audit Committee in compliance with section 45 of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act) and PGPA Rule section 17 Audit Committees for Commonwealth Entities.

The responsibilities of the Risk and Audit Committee include reviewing the appropriateness of our:

  • financial reporting
  • performance reporting
  • system of risk oversight and management
  • system of internal control.

Meetings and key documents

The committee meets at least 3 times a year, with special meetings also held once or twice a year.
