We were commissioned by the Department of Social Services (DSS) to conduct a rapid scoping review of the carer landscape including national and state and territory data sources and reports about Australia’s unpaid carers, to inform the development of the National Carer Strategy.

This report provides a broad overview of the current evidence base on informal carers in Australia including who they are, how they are faring, and the supports available to them and how effective (or not) they are.
