Recovery agency and informal recovery pathways from gambling problems

Many people with gambling problems will recover on their own, rather than through formal professional support services. This article explores this further, drawing on interviews with 32 recovering or recovered problem gamblers. The findings highlight how these people moved from recognition of a problem to taking action, and the factors that drove these processes.
