Overview
Findings are summarised from the Australian Living Standards Study on housing, health services, child care, employment, transport and service delivery, for the nine urban areas studied and, separately, for the two rural communities and one remote community. Urban areas studied: five outer areas (Berwick and Werribee in Melbourne, Campbelltown and Penrith in Sydney, and Elizabeth / Munno Para in Adelaide), two middle areas (Box Hill in Melbourne and Ryde in Sydney), and two inner areas (Melbourne and South Sydney). The rural areas were Berri, Loxton and Renmark in the Riverland area of South Australia, and Roma / Bungil in South West Queensland. The remote community was Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory.
