Overview
The Closing the Gap Clearinghouse was established by the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) to bring together evidence-based research on overcoming disadvantage for Indigenous Australians.
This paper focuses on three of the seven COAG building blocks that were the focus of the Clearinghouse in Year 3: early childhood; health; and safe communities. It provides policy makers with key findings about what works, what doesn't, and gaps in the evidence.
This report was produced for the Closing the Gap Clearinghouse. The Clearinghouse was a Council of Australian Governments’ initiative jointly funded by all Australian Governments. The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare in collaboration with the Australian Institute of Family Studies was funded from 2009 to 2014 to deliver the Clearinghouse.
