Carers Australia is a not for profit, benevolent national peak organisation dedicated to improving the lives of carers. Carers Australia's highest priority is to promote recognition of the important role that carers have in the community and to empower carers by making them better informed and resourced.

Department of Human Services (DHS) - Office for Disability
The Office for Disability (the Office) was established in 2006 with a mandate to put disability on the agenda across the Victorian Government.

A recent addition to the Keys for Living Together series, this DVD with booklet provides information and tips for parents with a young child with a disability to help deal with the changes and challenges they may encounter.

MyTime
Helps parents of young children with a disability or chronic medical condition by bringing them together with other parents to socialise and share ideas. Groups act as a support network for parents, where they can discuss experiences, thoughts and ideas. Parents will be kept up to date with new information and resources at meetings and can communicate online with other MyTime members throughout Australia.

NABS
NABS provides interpreters free of charge to any person who uses sign language, including Aboriginal and Islander Sign Language, to communicate and would like an interpreter for private medical appointments. Services are available to:

• Hearing parents who have a deaf child who uses sign language
• Deaf parents who have a deaf child who uses sign language
• Deaf parents who have a hearing child

National Disability Services
National Disability Services (previously ACROD) is the national industry association for disability services, representing over 600 not-for-profit organisations.

Queensland Government: Prevention and Early Childhood Intervention
The department works with the community and other agencies to promote prevention and early intervention services for children and young people.

Siblings Australia
Siblings Australia is a unique national organisation committed to enhancing the wellbeing of the siblings of children with disabilities and chronic illness.

Women With Disabilities Australia (WWDA)
The peak organisation for women with all types of disabilities in Australia, and is run by women with disabilities, for women with disabilities. It is the only organisation of its kind in Australia and one of only a very small number internationally. The website contains a information and links to an extensive range of relevant material and organisations.
