Our ethics committee
The ethics approval for the BNLA study was granted by the Australian Institute of Family Studies Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC).
Our HREC is registered with the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and ensures our research adheres to the ethical standards outlined in the:
- National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research
- Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research.

The BNLA team are committed to research integrity and the ethical conduct of all research projects. If you have concerns about the ethical conduct of the study you can contact the Ethics Committee Secretariat.
The Ethics Committee secretariat is not connected to the research project and can respond to your concern impartially.
