Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre
The AIFS Conference 2026 will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), Australia’s largest convention and exhibition venue. Located in South Wharf, on the banks of the Birrarung (Yarra River), MCEC is within easy walking distance of the CBD, hotels, restaurants and public transport.
MCEC is designed to support large, multi‑stream conferences while remaining accessible, inclusive and easy to navigate. The venue places a strong emphasis on accessibility and visitor comfort, with a wide range of facilities available to support diverse needs before, during and between sessions.
Getting to and around the venue
MCEC is well connected by tram, train, bus, bicycle and taxi/rideshare, and is easily accessible from Melbourne Airport. Clear signage, venue maps and customer service staff are available on site to help visitors navigate the space confidently.

MCEC offers a range of facilities that may be of interest to conference delegates, including:
- Parent rooms – Private, comfortable spaces for feeding or changing children, located in both the Convention and Exhibition Centres.
- Changing Places toilets – Fully accessible, high‑support bathroom facilities designed for people with disability who require additional space and assistance.
- Prayer rooms – Dedicated quiet spaces available within the Convention Centre.
- Mobility access and charging points – Accessible paths of travel throughout the venue, including lifts, ramps and designated charging points for electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
