This article investigates whether gaming venues are actually implementing their Responsible Gambling Code of Conduct and undertaking specific harm reduction measures. The study involved observation of 11 venues in Victoria and interviews with gamblers and professionals. It found that venues do not routinely follow government regulations or their own Code of Conduct, nor is support always provided to gamblers who seek assistance or show the signs of problems.
