This article explores why young people returned home to live during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as how well they coped, the supports they needed, and their relationship with their parents. It analyses data for young people aged around 20 years old in 2019/20, from the Longitudinal Surveys of Australian Youth and the Longitudinal Study of Australian Children.
