Research has found gender, ethnic and socioeconomic differences in children's mental health. This article looks into these differences further by comparing data from two countries, Australia and the United Kingdom. It examines emotional difficulties in children from 4/5 to 14/15 years of age, from the Longitudinal Study of Australian Children and the Millennium Cohort Study.
