This submission provided feedback on the National Disability Strategy (NDS) and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Outcomes Frameworks Introductory Paper in the December 2020 round of public consultation. AIFS’ responses draw on family-centred research evidence, including recent analysis of longitudinal data from Growing Up in Australia: The Longitudinal Study of Australian Children (LSAC) and other studies conducted by AIFS identifying family-centred indicators and measures across the domains of inclusive and accessible communities, economic security, health and wellbeing, life events, and personal and community support.
