A literature review was conducted on research examining spiritual and religious abuse in the context of intimate partner violence. Several databases were searched for peer-reviewed literature using AIFS Catalogue Plus. Grey literature and online resources from peak bodies (e.g. ANROWS) and other organisations (e.g. InTouch) were obtained from sources including the Australian Policy Observatory and Google.
