The place of family in social policy
This paper suggest there are many aspects of interpersonal relationships in good families that we need to incorporate in the more public parts of our lives, that policy makers often have unrealistic expectations of the capacity of these small and fragile units and examines the care-work nexus, suggesting a number of issues which could and should inform public policy debate.

Adolescent children and their parents
The authors report findings based on reports of adolescent school students, adolescent school leavers and their parents who participated in the Australian Institute of Family Studies' Australian Living Standards Study, that asked questions such as how often parents and adolescent children argue, what they argue about, whether they like each other and how they view their relationships with one another.
